Hakgala Botanical Garden, Nuwara Eliya

Established in 1861, Hakgala Garden is the second largest garden in Sri Lanka. It is located at 5,400 feet above the sea level and has a cold climate of between 16 °C to 30 °C. Hakgala Garden is a part of Hakgala Strict Nature Reserve with over 10,000 species of flora. It is a major tourist attraction in Sri Lanka especially during the Spring season between April to August. Horton Plains is a spectacular piece of nature, a world heritage site, a could forest located in central highlands of Sri Lanka (at an altitude of at an altitude of 6,900–7,500 ft).
